Japanese sword, circa WW-2 Era, located in Hong Kong shop with inscription on the blade.
I own a Katana found in a Hong Kong shop several years ago; the sword has a kanji inscription on its blade near the top. I have photographed the inscription and tried using several Aps to interpret the wording, with no success.
I'm curious to know if it identifies the sword's original owner, or his family name, or possibly its maker. Would you be willing to look at the photo to determine if you can read and translate the charactors into English?
