No, because the lottery itself is not for sale on the internet. But you can buy lottery tickets on the internet, that is what the sentence is saying. Whether that is more or less accurate is another issue. Translating word for word is not necessarily always better. (Also see the entry for くじ)

In the context of
I saw it in an example sentence below:
“宝くじはインターネットで手に入ります。
The lottery is available on the Internet.“
The sentence above is what the website I’m using as a translation, but since this means “to get ahold of (something)”, would a more accurate translation be “You can (get/obtain) the lottery on the internet”?
