わって is the て form of the verb わる (written as 割る in kanji) which you can find an entry for here.

たまごをわる means "to break an egg", and the て form allows the sentence to continue and express the consecutive nature of the actions.

Meant to say "crack an egg" is more the sense here, intentionally breaking the shell to use in cooking.

Unsure of meaning
Hiya all, I'm learning the Japanese language from scratch and 'Japanese101' videos along with a preschoolers book that I got to learn to read and structure basics (only to start).
I've made it onto the third page and did a breakdown of it word for word to understand the meanings etc. And I'm struggling to understand the context/meaning of "わっ". The book is 「しろくまちゃんのほっとけーき」。the context of the 「わっ」 is 「たまごを わって ぎゅうにゅう いれて よく かきまぜるのね」 and help would be great.
