Some searches return no results.

"kaimono" returns no results.
"Sorry, couldn't find any words matching カいもの, Kaimono, kaimono or カいも."
Searching "shopping" brings up the correct word. Is this a problem with particular words, or an I doing something wrong? It happens sometimes if I search in English.

Thanks!

Did you use capital letters in your search? I think the search tries to turn capital romaji into katakana, and so something like "Kaimono" will go through as カいもの and the search is not designed to handle mixing katakana and hiragana like that if a word isn't usually written that way.

I would say, try again with all lower case and see how it goes.

Thank you! You know what it is!? My phone always tries to capitalize the first letter of the beginning of a sentence! Gah!

Searching on my computer "kaimono" works, but my phone tries to make it "Kaimono".

It's nice to know that capital letters are for katakana.

@Angst What kind of phone and browser do you use? The search bar is set to not auto capitalize words, so I'm curious why this is happening.

Regardless of that, I wonder if having capital letters convert to katakana is a good idea in the end. I might change it to always convert to hiragana.
